Guido Maria Solari and Anna Francesca Morsoletto, at the invitation of Professor Alessandro Baroncelli, gave a lecture at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, as part of the Focus on ‘Reorganisation of International Supply Chains’ designed by ICRIM. The two speakers brought to the students’ attention some of the main topics related to the phenomena of offshoring, friendshoring and reshoring, analysing the legal instruments available to companies and explaining the recent trend towards reshoring also in the light of the geopolitical events of recent years (Covid, the Russian-Ukrainian war and the crisis with China). Solari and Morsoletto also explained how legal protections, although important, are not sufficient to cover all the risks associated with globalisation and illustrated some possible new solutions for the global market by virtue of the potential offered by e-commerce.
