IVORY COAST: THE RENEWAL OF THE CLASSIFICATION OF TOURIST FACILITIES BEGINS

The Ivorian Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Siandou Fofana, installed the national committee for the classification of tourist establishments. As the local press points out, the committee, chaired by Fofana himself, is made up of 11 members including umbrella organizations and some personalities from the technical ministries.

The stars assigned to evaluate the different structures range from one to five for hospitality establishments and from one to three for restaurants; for travel agencies and tourist offices, the letters A and B will be used.

The same sources recall that the Ivory Coast had not renewed this hotel classification exercise since 1984.
